C4I MeetUp in dogpatch
The following are the MeetUp times for Code for Ireland, from now until November (18:00 to 21:00, at Dogpatch Labs):
- 20th April (availability issues mean we have had to roll two planned April MeetUps into one, on this date).
- 24th May
- 21st June
- 20th September
- 18th October
- 22nd November
- Christmas Party – December (date and time to be decided)
We look forward to seeing you at the coding event on the 20th of April. Please book here.
As we mentioned at the last MeetUp, from now on sessions will be all about coding, not about presenting (don’t worry, we can do some of that too!).
While we wanted to have 2 session in April to accelerate the Transparent Water project, which is the core focus right now, we are limited to 1 by venue availability. We have worked very closely, and very well, with our Dutch compadres and the code is flowing (sorry, bad pun ).
So bring your laptop for the session, if you want to code. If you want to network an idea, please come with a maximum of a 2-page summary, that says Who (does it benefit), What (does it do), How much (resources and time) will it take and if you have any support for it already.
We hope to have beer and pizza sponsors, but please suggest any to email@example.com if you have spoken even briefly to them and they are interested.
We hope to do a livelink to some new connections in Europe. We made some excellent new contacts at the Eindhoven event, which will allow us present some options to various city officials around Ireland who might be interested in kickstarting a Smart Cities initiative.
Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible – Together is Better (there has to be something good about Brexit!)
Developers needed for Transparent Water – let us know if you are interested (6-week sprint) and we will send you Github details and jump on a hangout with you…
